Anticipated results

• Creation of Mt Bamboutos Integral Ecological Reserve
• Planting of over 1000 000 trees
• Communities become aware and implement climate change mitigation measures

• Communities capacity enhanced in biodiversity management
• Development of a Tree Fund
• Development of alternative sources of energy (solar cookers, biogas, wind energy etc)
• Livelihood of about 20 communities improved
• A protected area created
• School environmental clubs developed

Anticipated outcomes

• Carbon sink now created where about 6,560,000 tons of carbon will be sequestering.
• Trees For The Future program in Cameroon have planted over 4000000 trees in the past 3years wish is already sequesting a reasonable amount of carbon.
• An Integral Ecological Reserve created on mount Bamboutos
• Awareness was equally raised during the TRESS planning meetings of 2010 in the South West, North West and the West region on climate change and its mitigation measures.
• Trees For The Future program in Cameroon have planted over 4000000 trees in the past 3years.

Way forward

• More sensitization campaigns should be organized.
•  More training workshops and seminal organized
• Raise fund to support the various activities of the project
